GROUP THERAPY
Group Therapy can be your bridge to personal improvement.
Group therapy is a well-established method of effective treatment for many mental health issues including depression, anxiety, social skills/relationship building, and more. The group will consist of multiple individuals (typically 6-10) and may last 1.5 hours. The session is facilitated by a certified therapist who ensure a safe and confidential environment in which members can share and collaborate.
While group therapy can be used for many of the same issues explored in individual therapy sessions, groups offer some unique benefits, especially for those who experience anxiety in social interactions and communication. When other group members are experiencing similar difficulties, whether with their coping skills or overcoming unwanted behaviors, members may feel relief that they “are not alone”. Members often enjoy the experience of practicing a new identity and practicing their new skills.
Positive Methods clinicians are experienced in effectively facilitating a variety of therapy groups. Additionally, we carefully select member assignments to the group to protect your privacy and anonymity.
